Volunteers of the Month
Pflugerville Community Church Members:
Johnny Weidknecht, Rusty White, Benito Urbina, Ronald Robinder, and Johnathon Aires
They have been coming to the house on a regular basis to make repairs; built a “dog house” around the chimney to stop the water from leaking from the chimney into the house by the fire place, replaced an old sliding glass door with a window to provide for better insulation which in turn saves the shelter money for utilities, they rented equipment and dug a long ditch starting from the house all the way to the middle of the yard and re-routed the power lines away from the house to the sewer pumps, which was a very labor intensive project that took them from sun up to sun down to complete. They come to the house about every 2 months to do home repair projects and keep up the yard, etc. Mickey Foster our Headquarters Board member can give you even better details of what they do.

A Toast to Awareness
Annual wine tasting event held in April
Our annual "A Toast to Awareness" was held at the beautiful home of Floyd and Kim Wilson of Austin on April 28th. 83 guests were in attendance and the silent auction alone raised $3,500! All money raised from this event will go to our S.A.F.E. program which provides shelter, apparel, food and education to our kids.
